At least one person has been killed in overnight Russian attacks on the capital and the northeastern city.

A senior Russian foreign ministry official has said Moscow is seeking to settle its territorial issues with Ukraine using what he called the “Anchorage formula”, an agreement reached between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin during talks last summer.
Not much is known about what was agreed between Trump and Putin, but Dmitry Peskov, Russia’s spokesperson, said Russia expected Ukraine to withdraw from Luhansk and Donetsk. That would pave the way for formal annexation of the war-torn eastern Ukrainian regions by Russia.
