Thousands of protesters gathered in Minneapolis on Friday to continue demonstrations against Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in the city, bracing sub-zero temperatures weeks after the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent.

Thousands of demonstrators marched the streets of downtown Minneapolis, according to CBS Minnesota, which noted community members called for a “Day of Truth and Freedom” that involved no work, school or shopping.

Temperatures were below zero degrees Fahrenheit in the afternoon, reaching around -9, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a cold weather advisory through Saturday morning that warns of wind chill values between 25 and 35 degrees below zero.
