Sorry, Bad Bunny haters: The show will go on.
The three-time Grammy-winning rapper, 31, is all set to take the stage as the headliner during this year's Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show after the NFL faced calls last year to replace him with another artist on the world's biggest stage.
In October, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed the league was not reconsidering picking the "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS" artist to perform at the Big Game after receiving divisive reactions over the choice from President Donald Trump and others.
"I'm not sure we've ever selected an artist where we didn't have some blowback or criticism," Goodell said, according to The Associated Press. "It's pretty hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching."
But Goodell noted Bad Bunny, who will become the first Latin artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show solo, is "one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world." (Bad Bunny previously took the halftime stage alongside Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, co-headlining in 2020.)
