Mark Carney Hits Back At Trump Over His Attacks On CanadaCanadian Prime Minister Mark Carney hit back at President Donald Trump's claim that Canada "lives because of the United States" in a new speech Thursday.Trump used his address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, to send a message to Carney who had warned "middle powers" to band together to avoid getting victimized by the U.S. the day prior."They should be grateful to U.S., Canada," Trump said Wednesday. "Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that Mark, the next time you make your statements."Carney did not leave Trump's statement unanswered, even though he did not reference the U.S. president by name."Canada and the United States have built a remarkable partnership in the economy, in security, and in rich cultural exchange," Carney said Thursday. "But Canada doesn't live because of the United States.
