Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is a candidate to undergo surgery on his right foot this off-season, general manager Brandon Beane told reporters Wednesday.

Beane and Bills owner Terry Pegula spoke at length about the future of the Bills' organization during a news conference in Orchard Park, N.Y.

"He could have to have something done to his foot potentially here soon," Beane said. "But it would not impact OTA [organized team activity] stuff if he does."

Allen initially sustained the injury during a win over the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 21 in Cleveland. The 2024-25 NFL MVP dealt with lingering soreness over the final weeks of the Bills' season, which ended with a divisional-round loss to the Denver Broncos on Saturday in Denver.
