Brooklyn Beckham isn't holding back.
The 26-year-old eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham took to Instagram on Jan. 19 to drop a fiery tirade against his parents and share his perspective on why they have become estranged.
In the post, Beckham said he does "not want to reconcile with my family" and is "standing up for myself for the first time in my life." In over 800 words, he alleged that his family has "consistently disrespected" his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham. Beckham went on to allege he has been "controlled by my parents for most of my life," but said that his "anxiety has disappeared" since he decided to step away from his family.
USA TODAY previously reached out to representatives for Brooklyn, Victoria and David Beckham for comment.
On Jan. 20, David Beckham appeared on CNBC's "Squawk Box" in the wake of his son's posts and commented on how children are "allowed to make mistakes," adding, "That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids. You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well."
