President Donald Trump announced Saturday that multiple European countries would face a tariff on all goods sent to the United States until the U.S. secures a deal for “the Complete and Total purchase” of Greenland.

“World Peace is at stake!” he wrote on Truth Social, adding that both China and Russia “want” Greenland, which is now a territory of Denmark.

“They currently have two dogsleds as protection, one added recently,” he quipped.

“Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland have journeyed to Greenland, for purposes unknown,” he continued, citing countries that have sent troops to Greenland amid Trump’s repeated threats of a U.S. takeover.

He then declared that beginning Feb. 1, the countries he listed would be facing a “10% Tariff on any and all goods sent to the United States,” which will be increased to 25% in June.
