Girl group Blackpink will release their third mini-album DEADLINE on the 27th of next month, their agency YG Entertainment announced on the 15th.

On this day, YG released a video announcing Blackpink's comeback on its official blog.

It has been 3 years and 5 months since Blackpink released a new album in units of an album, since their second full-length album BORN PINK in September 2022.

They released the digital single "JUMP" in July of last year, but during their hiatus, they actively pursued solo activities and presented music that contained the four members' distinct personalities.

YG explained, "The album title is 'Deadline,' which is the same as the world tour that started at Goyang Stadium last July as the first K-pop girl group to travel around the world." They added, "This comeback marks the end of a journey of crying and laughing together with global fans."
