Paramount Skydance CEO and chairman David Ellison, a billionaire ally to President Donald Trump, said in a letter to Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders on Monday that his company has filed a lawsuit in Delaware over the terms of Netflix’s deal to buy the legendary Hollywood studio.

Netflix reached a deal to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery late last year, but Ellison has been angling for a hostile takeover.

In the lawsuit, Ellison is seeking more information about the financial details of Netflix’s offer. He has argued that his $30 per share tender offer is "superior" to the one from his competitor.
