The 64th State School Arts Festival, to be held from January 14 to 18 in Thrissur, has been transformed into a fully smart, technology-driven event with the support of the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE), functioning under the General Education department. A wide range of advanced digital systems have been deployed to ensure seamless coordination of the festival, from registration to certificate distribution.
Giving the arts festival a strong digital identity, KITE has integrated every stage of the event through an online portal and mobile application. Registration, participant management, result processing and certificate issuance are all handled digitally. All off-stage competitions have been incorporated into SchoolWiki, while live telecasts of events are being arranged through the KITE Victers channel.
The overall management of the festival is carried out through the portal www.ulsavam.kite.kerala.gov.in. The system enables complete online handling of participant clustering, issuance of participant cards, preparation of reports for team managers, and the scheduling of competitions. Time sheets, call sheets and score sheets for all stages are also generated through the portal. The authenticity of certificates can be verified using QR codes, and certificates are made available through DigiLocker. A new feature introduced this year allows higher appeal token registration directly through the mobile app, according to KITE Chief Executive Officer K. Anwar Sadath.
