A 23-year-old dental student died allegedly by suicide at her home in Chandapura on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Thursday, leaving behind a note stating that no one was to blame.

The deceased has been identified as Yashaswini, 23, a third-year dental student at a private college, located on Hosur Road near Bommanahalli in southeast Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, her classmates and batchmates staged a protest against the college, alleging harassment.

The Surya City police have registered a case of unnatural death. According to the police, Yashaswini was found dead at her residence in Chandapura on Thursday around 7.30 p.m. The post-mortem report revealed no foul play, and she had left a note stating that no one was responsible for her death.

Yashaswini’s classmates staged a protest near the mortuary against the college, alleging that a professor had harassed her for taking leave earlier this week. Her mother also alleged while talking to media persons that Yashaswini had shared details of the harassment .
