Jan. 8 (UPI) -- An escaped wallaby spotted hopping through a South Carolina neighborhood ended up being fished out of a backyard pool by police and animal control officers.
The Summerville Police Department said on social media that officers responded to a report of a wallaby hopping through a local resident's backyard on Wednesday.
"A brief pursuit ended with our new friend jumping into a pool, where he was safely rescued," the post said.
