“The Hills” star Spencer Pratt announced his bid for Los Angeles mayor on Wednesday, Jan. 7, reportedly during a demonstration as part of the one-year anniversary of the Palisades Fire.
The Los Angeles Times and Fox 11 Los Angeles are reporting that Pratt announced his mayoral bid during the “They Let us Burn” demonstration held in the Pacific Palisades. He’d been listed as a speaker.
A post on Instagram from Pratt’s account said, “Yes, it’s official. Papers are filed, and the campaign is open.” He also included a website, where he calls himself Mayor Karen Bass’s “worst nightmare.”
Pratt is best known for appearing on the reality television series “The Hills,” which began in 2006 on MTV. The show was created by Adam DiVello, who might also be recognized for his more recent hit on Netflix, “Selling Sunset,” which explores the drama of selling luxury real estate in Los Angeles.
Pratt and his wife and fellow “The Hills” alum Heidi Montag shared a home in the Pacific Palisades before they lost it to the Palisades Fire last January.
