A former Disney Channel star is alleging that he was axed from his job at Universal Studios Hollywood after reporting a suspected pedophile at the theme park.

Over the weekend, Steven Anthony Lawrence claimed in an Instagram post that his boss and a Universal HR representative had fired him in retaliation “for reporting a suspected pedofile [sic] around children.”

“I delayed posting this for about a month because I was hoping we could find some sort of amicable solution, because I absolutely loved performing and dancing with all you amazing people,” Lawrence wrote Saturday alongside a photo of his Universal Studios employee ID and what appeared to be a Toad costume.

“It is with a heavy heart I have to announce that my time with Universal Studios has ended,” he continued.

Lawrence, 35, who played Bernard “Beans” Aranguren on Disney Channel’s “Even Stevens” from 2001 to 2003, did not expound on his claims. He also did not specify what position he’d held at the Los Angeles-area theme park.
