Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Monday that the Pentagon is moving to cut Sen. Mark Kelly's (D-Arizona) retirement grade and pay in response to a video he recorded last year warning the military not to follow illegal orders.
Hegseth claimed Kelly's video, which was recorded alongside 5 other congressional Democrats who served in the military, was "reckless and seditious" and that it "clearly intended to undermine good order and military discipline."
"Captain Kelly’s status as a sitting United States Senator does not exempt him from accountability, and further violations could result in further action," Hegseth said in a post online.
