Jan. 5 (UPI) -- A man was arrested by U.S. Secret Service agents on Monday for allegedly causing property damage at the Cincinnati home of Vice President JD Vance.
An arrest was made in the early morning hours after damage was done to the exterior of Vance's home, including broken windows. Vance and his family were not in the home at the time, the Secret Service said in a statement.
Since being elected vice president, Vance and his family are residing in the vice president's mansion on the premises of the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C. However, the family was on a visit to Ohio during the weekend.
Vance purchased the home for $1.4 million in 2018.
The damage to Vance's Ohio home was done sometime shortly after midnight.
