The Indian Institute of Management – Tiruchi (IIM-T) celebrated its 16th Foundation Day, with a special ceremony to mark its growth over the last decade and a half on Sunday.

The Foundation Day programme included the launch of the institute’s 15-year commemorative book, recognition of student-led social impact initiatives, and felicitation of long-serving employees.

Established in 2011, IIM-T began with a cohort of 85 students. Today it operates from a modern 175-acre residential campus in Tiruchi and is ranked 16th in the NIRF 2025 Management category.

In his address, Kamal Karanth, co-founder, Xpheno, highlighted the importance of data-driven talent ecosystems and the evolving role of management education in shaping India’s future workforce.

IIM-T director Pawan Kumar Singh, said: “Four things make an institution great: strong infrastructure, the intent of the people who work there, a collective commitment to give their best, and the ability to draw on both internal and external resources.”
