JEDDAH: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has launched a first aid volunteering framework for national associations, in partnership with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority.
The initiative aims to promote volunteerism and enhance emergency response efficiency within the Two Holy Mosques, in line with Vision 2030 goals, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The framework organizes first aid volunteer work within an integrated system, ensuring unified procedures and coordinated efforts among organizations. It seeks the highest standards of quality and safety in serving pilgrims.
The authority clarified that participating organizations must meet general requirements, including official accreditation and registration with relevant authorities, the SPA added.
Emergency volunteer associations will be responsible for providing medical personnel, equipment, and emergency supplies in coordination with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority to ensure field teams are fully prepared and able to respond effectively.
