Greg Brockman, the president and co-founder of OpenAI, donated $25 million to a super PAC controlled by allies of President Donald Trump in September, according to a new filing with the Federal Elections Commission.

Brockman's donation was the largest the super PAC, MAGA, Inc., received in the second half of 2025. Super PACs are allowed to spend and receive unlimited amounts of money, provided they do not directly coordinate with the candidates they support.

OpenAI is best known to the broader public for operating the chatbot ChatGPT. It and other AI companies have successfully pushed the White House to take a laissez-faire approach to regulating the rapidly evolving industry, including issuing an executive order barring most state-level regulation of the technology.
