The series finale of "Stranger Things" earned more than $25 million at the box office, according to reports from Variety, Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter.
The theater release of the finale was an unusual move for the streaming service Netflix. According to Deadline, the finale aired on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in more than 620 theaters across the U.S.
