New England Patriots defensive lineman Christian Barmore has been charged with assault and battery, according to multiple reports.
Boston-area television station WCVB5 obtained a police report in which Barmore's former girlfriend, with whom he shares a child, told the Mansfield (Mass.) Police Department that the 26-year-old charged at her and threw her to the ground during a domestic dispute on Aug. 8, 2025. Barmore allegedly became upset with the temperature in the house and that she was making food.
The woman tried to phone her mother during the ordeal but Barmore grabbed the phone and ended the call, The Athletic reported via charging documents. The couple's two-year-old child allegedly witnessed the incident.
Barmore is due to be arraigned in court on Feb. 3.
"The New England Patriots are aware of reports regarding a pending February arraignment involving Christian Barmore, which stems from an alleged domestic incident that occurred in August," the team said in a statement.
