Nuno Espírito Santo has made Norwegian priority target
Wolves forward has struggled at Molineux this season
West Ham are preparing an opening offer for the Wolves striker Jørgen Strand Larsen as they look to boost their survival hopes.
Nuno Espírito Santo, whose side are at major risk of relegation, wants attacking reinforcements during the January transfer window and has identified Strand Larsen as a priority target. It is believed that Wolves want as much as £40m for the Norwegian, who has scored only three goals for the Premier League’s bottom club this season.
It remains to be seen if West Ham, who are set to loan the Germany striker Niclas Füllkrug to Milan, are prepared to meet the asking price for Strand Larsen. The 25-year-old impressed after joining Wolves from Celta Vigo in 2024, scoring 14 goals last season, a tally that drew interest from Newcastle in the summer. However Strand Larsen has found it tougher this season and has been unable to help Wolves move away from the relegation zone.
