It is not just singles or professionals, but also families that are interested in spending New Year’s Eve at hotels or public venues as part of a large gathering. Tiruchi’s hospitality sector is adapting to this by scheduling programmes just for this period,” said the manager of a local hotel.

A ‘New Year Kacheri’ is to be held at Hotel Tamil Nadu (Central Bus Stand), with a musical night by disc jockey Astroy and an unlimited spread of 20 varieties of dishes on Wednesday.
