Creating a flutter within the party as the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meet on Saturday (December 27, 2025), Rajya Sabha MP and senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh flagged gaps in the party’s organisational structure, criticising what he described as “overcentralisation” within the Congress. He questioned why the “election management department” had still not been constituted, despite earlier CWC meetings resolving to set it up. Establishing such a department was announced in May 2022 after a CWC meeting in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Published - December 27, 2025 05:23 pm IST
