Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Texas junior running back Tre Wisner, the Longhorns' top rusher, will enter the transfer portal, his agency. AiC Sports, confirmed Friday.
Wisner led the Longhorns with 597 yards on 131 carries over nine appearances in 2025. The junior running back scored four touchdowns.
Wisner, who missed three games with a leg injury, also led the Longhorns as a sophomore, with 1,064 yards and six scores.
The 6-foot, 194-pound running back dashed for 155 yards in his last appearance for the Longhorns, a 27-17 win over Texas A&M on Nov. 28 in Austin.
He will not play when the Longhorns take on the Michigan Wolverines in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Wednesday in Orlando, Fla.
