For the week, the S&P 500 was up 1.4%, putting the benchmark on track for its fourth weekly advance in five weeks. The Dow and Nasdaq were also up more than 1% week to date.
Wall Street is coming off a mixed week for the major averages.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite last week ripped higher by 3.7% and 4.9%, respectively, while the Dow advanced 3.2%.
