The foundation stone for a museum dedicated to the political life and legacy of former Karnataka Chief Minister late N. Dharam Singh was laid at Nelogi in Jewargi taluk in Kalaburagi district on December 25, marking his 89th birth anniversary.
KKRDB Chairperson Ajay Singh said that the museum aims to showcase the life, public service and contribution of Dharam Singh, who played a key role in the political and social development of the region.
Family members, including Prabhavati Dharam Singh, former MLC Vijay Singh, and Chandra Singh, joined legislators Allamprabhu Patil, Thippannappa Kamaknoor, Jagdev Guttedar, and local leaders at the event.
Sri Shivanand Swami of Sonna mutt recalled the contribution of Dharam Singh towards social justice, regional development and empowerment of marginalised communities. He said the proposed museum would preserve the political journey of the veteran leader and serve as a source of inspiration for future generations.
On the occasion, 120 specially designed vehicles were distributed to differently-abled persons.
