With the objective of positioning NTR district as a top tourism destination, the district administration has launched a dedicated tourism mobility platform named “Andhra Taxi”, offering safe, affordable, and enjoyable travel services to tourists.
NTR District Collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha said the initiative reflects Team NTR’s commitment to tourism development in line with the State government’s vision.
The Andhra Taxi mobile application was formally launched on Thursday at the Sri Pingali Venkayya Conference Hall in the District Collectorate.
The event was attended by representatives of taxi and auto unions, drivers, and officials from the tourism and transport departments. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said tourism plays a crucial role in driving the service sector and the economy, and NTR district has immense potential in spiritual, ecological, and historical tourism.
Dr. Lakshmisha said the Andhra Taxi app has been designed to provide tourists with convenient, secure, and cost-effective travel services.
