Six persons were arrested for supplying charas and other drugs in two separate incidents and seized a total of over two kilogram of contraband in Delhi-NCR, the police said on Saturday.

A team of Delhi police busted an inter-state charas supply network operating between Himachal Pradesh and Delhi-NCR. Four people were arrested in the case, and over 1.7 kg of charas was seized. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered, and further investigation is in progress to identify other associates, the police said.

The team had conducted a raid at a hotel in Paharganj on December 12 which resulted in the arrest of Kundan Lal, 40, a resident of Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. The contraband, which was in his possession and intended for sale in the city, has been seized.

He also had a previous involvement in a similar case registered in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, the police said.

Gaurav Verma and Piyush Kumar alias Elu, both residents of East Delhi, surfaced as receivers of the contraband.
