An off-duty Air India Express pilot allegedly assaulted a passenger at the Delhi airport on Friday (December 19, 2025) and the airline has suspended him pending investigation, according to sources.
The passenger shared his experience in a social media post along with a photo showing blood on his face after the altercation. He also shared a photo of the pilot.
Delhi police said that “No such matter has been reported to the police station either by Ankit Dewan or by the airlines.”
The police further said “The matter came to the knowledge of police through this social media post. Whenever a written complaint is received by the victim, in this regard, appropriate legal action will be taken.”
The police said this with reference to a social media post posted on platform X by @ankitdewan, alleging physical assault by an Air India Express pilot at Terminal-1 of the airport on December 19, 2025.
