Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Palo Alto Networks announced Friday it will shift major internal operations to Google Cloud under a new multibillion-dollar deal.
The companies announced an expanded partnership to strengthen joint engineering efforts. Palo Alto Networks will now integrate Google's Gemini AI models and Vertex AI platform to enhance its copilots, the firms confirmed.
"Every board is asking how to harness AI's power without exposing the business to new threats," said BJ Jenkins, president of Palo Alto Networks.
"This partnership answers that question," Jenkins added in a statement.
Palo Alto Networks has surpassed $2 billion in sales on Google Cloud Marketplace, supported by over 75 joint product integrations.
