MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin, during the combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference headlined "Results of the Year," confirmed Moscow's readiness to put an end to the Ukrainian conflict by peaceful means based on the principles announced by the head of state at the Russian Foreign Ministry in 2024.

"We have always talked about this and we are ready and willing to end this conflict by peaceful means based on the principles that I outlined in June last year at the Russian Foreign Ministry and it includes the elimination of the root causes that led to this crisis," Putin said.

He also noted that Russian troops in the special operation zone are advancing in all directions, fully seizing the strategic initiative.
