Two people were arrested for allegedly possessing explosives illegally, in Krishnagiri on Thursday (December 18, 2025).
The police said that on December 13, three people hurled a country-made bomb at the bus of a private company, and in the attack, a woman staff member was injured. The police arrested the trio and remanded them in prison.
Based on their statements, the police searched the houses of Dharjun Nisha, 39, in Krishnagiri, and Barkatullah, 55, a resident of Banakara Street in Pudhupettai and seized 125 kg of explosives from them, including 50 kg of sulfur, 50 kg of potassium chloride, and 25 kg of ammonium. The police registered a case and arrested the duo.
