Political commentator Debra Lea was accused of embracing “delusion” on Fox News after she fawned over President Donald Trump’s tense speech. (Watch the video below.)

The right-wing personality, whom Trump called “great” after a previous Fox News appearance, gave the gush of gushes in her analysis. She called his remarks on Wednesday “kind,” “calm” and “compassionate.”

If lying about the economy, attacking the Biden administration, making misleading comments about tariffs and grossly exaggerating drug price reductions is considered kind, she’d be spot-on.

“Donald Trump was so kind, he was so calm,” she said. “I think that it was one of the more powerful and just engaging speeches that he’s given in a very long time.”

Lea accused the mainstream media of falsely reporting that the economy is bad, defended Trump’s widely scorned tariff strategy, claimed he didn’t shout (he did, according to even a conservative outlet) and praised Trump’s announced $1,776 bonus checks to military members (although Congress approved them months ago).
