Police have arrested two persons for allegedly selling ganja in Nandyal town and seized 2.5 kg of the contraband, a car and two mobile phones from them. Speaking to the media here on Thursday (December 18), Assistant Superintendent of Police (Nandyal sub-division) M. Javali Alphonso said the accused, identified as Shaik Muneer Basha and Shaik Mahboob Basha of Basapuram village in Gajulapalli mandal, were arrested from Pradhama Nandi temple arch. She said Muneer Basha brought the contraband from Araku and was planning to sell it with the help of the other accused. A case has been registered against the duo under the NDPS Act.
