Mary Trump flagged the irony of her uncle, President Donald Trump, saying children should learn to live with fewer toys and gifts this holidays (because of the current affordability crisis) while Christmas-themed merchandise is being hawked on his Trump Organization website, which she dismissed as “overpriced junk.”
“Americans are struggling. The economy is on the edge of a cliff,” the clinical psychologist said on her podcast as she argued that Trump’s message to families rings hollow, noting how her uncle’s online store features a holiday gift guide packed with pricey items.

Mary Trump, a longtime critic of her relative, was left unimpressed while browsing the “Ornaments” page on the website.
“I don’t particularly want any of these,” she acknowledged, before sarcastically adding that there’s apparently only one way to prove your patriotism. “If you want to prove to Donald that you’re a real American, I think you need to spend $92 fucking dollars on a MAGA hat glass ornament.”
