Donald Trump is facing mounting backlash from both sides across the political spectrum following his social media post and comments about Rob Reiner's death.

On Monday morning, Trump posted a statement on his Truth Social account after Rob and Michele Reiner's death, "A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele."
But the post didn't stop there, Trump continued "...reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and uncurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME."
Trump's viral post got backlash from Democrats as well as some Republican lawmakers that took to their X accounts to respond and called it "wrong" or "inappropriate."
