A recent survey of the investment migration industry found that the Portugal golden visa program remains a firm favorite, but Greece is gaining in popularity. One of the reasons is due to the expected impact of a change to Portugal’s nationality law, which extends the nationality requirements to 10 years of residence rather than five, and now involves legal disputes over nationality law changes by golden visa applicants. Greece, in contrast, requires seven years of residence.
