Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (December 15, 2025) met Jordan’s King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein at the Husseiniya Palace in Amman and discussed issues of bilateral and regional interests.
PM Modi was on a two-day visit to Jordan at the invitation of King Abdullah II. In a special gesture emblematic of the close ties between the two countries, the Prime Minister was warmly received by King Abdullah II.
This is the first leg of PM Modi’s three-nation trip aimed at further strengthening ties with them. He earlier said his visit to Jordan will boost bilateral linkages between the two nations.
PM Modi told King Abdullah II that he was confident that their meeting would give a new impetus and depth to India-Jordan ties.
“We will continue our cooperation in areas such as trade, fertilisers, digital technology, infrastructure and people-to-people ties,” he said.
