Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday handed over the appointment letters of government jobs to the 36 family members of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots victims.
“These are not merely jobs, but a formal recognition of the dignity, rights, and identity of thousands of families who have been waiting for justice and respect for four decades,” she said at an event held at the Delhi Secretariat.
Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress, Ms. Gupta said the previous governments made grand promises but “failed to take meaningful steps to bring real change to the lives of the riot-affected families”.
“The government jobs not only offer economic support but also provide a strong foundation towards a dignified and secure life,” said Ms. Gupta.
The appointment letters are for the multitasking staff posts across various government departments.
