Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Authorities in Missouri called in a crew of cowboys for help when a highway crash left 13 cattle on the loose.

The Missouri Highway Patrol confirmed a crash involving two tractor-trailers on Interstate 70 in Oak Grove caused 13 cattle to escape from one of the trucks on Wednesday.

Authorities called in personnel from Butler-based B&W Land & Cattle to help round up the scattering bovines.

"We like to help out the ones in need," cowboy Kolby Boos told KCTV. "It's always a challenge because you never know where they're at or how they're going to be or if they're going to be mad and want to fight you ... You don't know."

The crew was able to wrangle all of the missing cattle.
