Dec. 10 (UPI) -- OpenAI's ChatGPT generative artificial intelligence app topped Apple's 2025 list of the most-downloaded free apps that iPhone owners installed this year.
ChatGPT is a large-language AI program capable of writing, answering questions, explaining topics, creating computer code and offering insights for users, according to Coursera.
It finished fourth among iPhone downloads last year, whenthe Chinese shopping app Temu topped Apple's list of most-downloaded apps, TechCrunch reported.
ChatGPT did not rank among the 10 top app downloads for theiPhone in 2023, which was the first year it was offered for the smartphone.
