Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Firefighters in South Carolina came to the rescue of a kitten that darted out into the road in front of a vehicle and ended up jumping up to hide in the undercarriage.
The Bluffton Township Fire Department said on social media that a driver on Bluffton Parkway saw a kitten run out in front of his vehicle and pulled over to see if he had struck the animal.
"They searched everywhere but couldn't find the kitten. Just as they started to drive again, they heard faint meowing coming from underneath the vehicle," the post said.
