Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Wednesday night's Powerball drawing features the seventh-largest prize in its history at $930 million, with a cash prize of $429 million.
The last Powerball jackpot won was on Sept. 6, when separate winners in Missouri and Texas split the $1.79 billion prize between the two of them.
After 40 straight drawings with no winner, tonight's jackpot is especially lucrative and follows Monday night's drawing, which resulted in white balls numbered 8, 32, 52, 56 and 64 being drawn, plus a red Powerball 23.
If one or more players win Wednesday night's drawing, the winner has the option of choosing a lump-sum cash payout of $429 million. Otherwise, the jackpot is paid out in 30 installments over 29 years with each payment increasing by 5% in value.
Powerball holds drawings three nights each week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
