The five day 27th Madurai International Documentary and Short Film Festival concluded on Wednesday. The event was organised by Marupakkam Film Collective, a forum for documentary films, along with educational institutions, cultural organisations and film societies. The event was held from December 6 to 10.
A total number of 97 films from 24 countries were screened in nine venues under various categories such as Documentaries, Short fiction, Animation, Experimental films and Music Videos. Filmmakers from across India took part in the event to present their films and interacted with the audience in the post screening session. People also shared their experience about the film festival.
