Dec. 10 (UPI) -- The NFL will return to Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, for additional regular season games in 2026 and 2028, the league announced Wednesday.
"I am delighted about the extension of our contract with the NFL, which once again demonstrates the importance and strength of Munich as a sports city," Munich mayor Verena Dietl said in a news release.
"The previous games have not only won the hearts of fans, they have also strengthened our successful cooperation with the NFL.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Seattle Seahawks in 2022 in Munich. The Carolina Panthers beat the New York Giants in 2024 at the same stadium. Two additional games with four other team were played in 2023 in Frankfurt, and in November, the Indianapolis Colts beat the Atlanta Falcons in the first-ever Berlin contest.
