We’ve previously sought out the expertise of makeup artists to tell us which beauty products they use on themselves and their clients to look younger. One artist we spoke to, Los Angeles-based lead makeup artist for Glamsquad, Jeanette Aguirre, mentioned the Supergoop CC Screen, a now-discontinued formula that apparently had a dedicated fan base.
In a Reddit thread, CC Screen lovers expressed their frustration at the discontinuation of a product that many called their “go-to” and loved for its “glowy effect” and “lasting finish.”
If you’re new to CC creams, they’re typically hybrid products that live somewhere between a color-correcting foundation and a skin care product, infused with ingredients like SPF, hyaluronic acids, niacinamide and more. In my experience, they also look the most natural on the skin and don’t feel heavy or cakey like some full-coverage foundations.
“I love products that combine SPF and hyaluronic acid because they create that perfect balance of protection and hydration,” Aguirre told HuffPost. “When the skin is plump and nourished, everything you layer on top looks better and lasts longer, making these products kit staples for me, as they give that glowy, hydrated finish while protecting the skin.”
