A farmer collapsed during a protest in front of the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi on Wednesday.
According to police, the farmer, identified as Yallappa Hirekurubar, 35, of Kudachi village, collapsed at the protest site and was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was reportedly low on energy and collapsed from exhaustion. He has recovered after the first aid, the police said.
He was among the farmers protesting for remunerative prices for sugarcane and other farm produce.
