U.S. Treasury yields moved higher on Wednesday as investors keenly anticipated the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision, set to take place early afternoon.
At 5 a.m. ET, the benchmark 10-year Treasury
yield rose more than 1 basis point to 4.2%. The 30-year Treasury yield was also up 1 basis point to 4.82%, while the 2-year Treasury yield nudged higher to 3.62%.
One basis point is equivalent to 0.01%, and yields and prices move in opposite directions.
