The leader of France's far-right Rassemblement National party, Jordan Bardella, met anti-immigration Reform UK party head Nigel Farage in London on Tuesday, December 9, and said he believed Farage would become Britain's prime minister.
"I think that Nigel Farage will be the next prime minister of the UK," Bardella told the BBC in a podcast interview ahead of the meeting. Farage, he said, has "fought, I believe, throughout his life, sincerely to defend the interests of his country and his people, to give them a unique, free, and independent voice on the international stage, particularly within European institutions."
Later, on X, Bardella posted a picture of him and Farage posing together, and said they discussed "common challenges we must face, starting with a return to economic prosperity and the fight against mass immigration."
